Are you a recently married Indian couple? Are you part of an arranged marriage in which you spend less than six months getting to know one another and are not married? Are you finding yourself overwhelmed with the responsibilities of marriage and getting to know one another? Have you had unsuccessful attempts at engaging in sex and intimacy in your new marriage? Are you finding it difficult to navigate boundaries and requirements of your family that you have acquired through marriage?

All in the Family Counselling Centre and lead therapist Tammy Fontana are providing online therapy for relationships. Ms. Fontana has extensive experience working with Indian culture and arranged marriages for the past two decades. She helps newlywed couples, especially those who had been formed through arranged marriages, to establish the knowledge and boundaries and skills that they need to have a successful, fruitful and happy marriage.

Marriage is something that most people lack information and need more specific skills to have the successful marriage they desire. Ms. Fontana is experienced in working with couples whose only knowledge and education about marriage is that they should just  compromise. While these high level overviews and suggestions are done with the best intent to be helpful, they lack the depth and sophistication necessary for a successful marriage.

The skills that a new marriage requires include self-awareness and emotional regulation. An individual needs to be very aware of what they want and who they are, so that they can establish healthy boundaries and proceed in healthy negotiations. Ms. Fontana helps couples understand who they are and what they want and how to do healthy boundaries in order to promote successful compromise and negotiations in the marriage.

Another area that couples need help with is understanding and having better education around sexual intimacy and how sex works in a relationship and in a long-term relationship. The idea that marriage causes a couple to have sex, unfortunately, is too simplistic and leads to huge amounts of trouble and unsuccessful attempts.

Ms. Fontana provides extensive sexual intimacy and education for couples embarking on a new marriage. People long to have long, healthy and happy sexual and intimate life. This requires good communication that results from self-awareness, boundary setting and negotiation. Ms. Fontana helps couples to negotiate and navigate this area.

If you are seeking out help for your relationship and would like help, Ms. Fontana has been providing help with online therapy for over two decades. Our program combines online therapy with our intensive retreats that last from five to 10 to 15 days. These are highly customized and individualized retreats that are designed to provide intense therapy and positive experiences in the lovely Mediterranean city of Pula, Croatia.

Ms. Fontana custom designs each intensive retreat for couples in order to enhance their skills. Ms. Fontana is on hand to provide immediate interventions and feedbacks. She gets to work intensively with the couples, seeing how they interact live rather than reporting something from the past.
